London-based band Another Sky was formed by Catrin Vincent and bandmates Max (drums), Naomi (bass) and Jack (guitar) whilst studying music together at Goldsmiths University, their music is a striking sound that draws on everything from Radiohead and Four Tet to Coldplay and Talk Talk, led by Vincent’s incredible voice.

17:30 - ALDWORTH PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
Reading's very own Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra has a reputation for innovation, accessibility, and versatility. It won the 'performance of the year' category at the 2018 Reading Cultural Awards for its 'Schumann at the Station' event at Reading station, and as well as blockbusting full-scale orchestral concerts has impressed audiences at the Reading Fringe Festival and in Reading's twin town of Düsseldorf with smaller-scale performances. It often gives world premieres to specially-commissioned works by young composers.
18:30 - ANOTHER SKY
Channeling the brooding atmospherics of Radiohead and The xx, but with a little more bite and political charge, Fiction Records (The Amazons, The Big Moon) signed Another Sky ’s music is dark, cinematic and richly textured.
The band has been receiving praise from the music press, Radio 1, performed on Later... Jools Holland and in Texas at SXSW festival.
19:30 - STATS
London dance band Stats are excited to announce the release of their debut album Other People’s Lives, which will be released through Memphis Industries on 15th February 2019.
Recorded at London’s prestigious RAK Studios, Seed and his full live band spent time tracking the live jams that would form the bones of this newest single, and the rest of Other People’s Lives. Ricocheting between 1970s art rock, 80s synth grooves and cosmic disco-pop, the band have already gained plaudits from Lauren Laverne at 6Music, Elton John at Beats1 and high praise from The Guardian, The Sunday Times, i-D, DIY Mag, and Q to name but a few early supporters. The aim at RAK was to ditch structure and embrace spontaneity. “This way you can capture the moment of inspiration,” Seed says. “The special energy of six people losing themselves in what they’re doing, and somehow synchronising into something none of them could have planned.”
The sessions produced funk-tinged pieces of electronic-pop that now accompany Seed’s compelling storytelling of humanity, domesticity, routine, love, loss and new fatherhood. Other People’s Lives investigates the gaps in the stories we tell about our lives. Seed explains: “This album is about recognising that my life story is full of holes. The world encourages me to experience my life as a narrative: a story in which I am the lead character, going on a journey, moving towards the discovery and realisation of an authentic self. Other people’s lives are presented to me as coherent, relatable stories, full of passion and travel and wonder.”
Stats are a refreshing, modern band with a debut album that captures the now, the fleeting, the fickle and the forgotten – like that perfect moment lost on the dance floor – yet it presents it in a musical way that avoids being trapped to a time and place.
20:30 - THE PINK DIAMOND REVUE
The Pink Diamond Revue are a 3 Piece Electro/ Dance/ Psych band fronted by Acid Dol, a model from another dimension.
The bands live shows have had many different comparisons but most mention the band's ability to combine their music with the visual images they display behind them, to produce a show with a massive crossover appeal.
21:45 - TVAM
Somewhere within a lifetime of repeats, reruns and reboots, TVAM lives, crafting sounds and visuals which touch on our memories but toy with our fears. A world in which broadcast becomes performance.
Hypnotic tracks which straddle an impressive spectrum of influence; with Boards of Canada's irresistible nostalgia, Suicide's deconstructed rock'n'roll and MBV's infinite noise all becoming touching points in Oxley's musical output.
Shining a harsh light on our nostalgia, TVAM's live show is something of a spectacle. Blurring the line between art and performance, Oxley is aided by long-dead technology and haunted sloganeering to broadcast his self-styled psychic data. Toying with the power of influence, TVAM offers no comfort in this age of unease.
We are excited to hear songs from the acclaimed album Psychic Data.
23:15 - FLAMINGODS
Flamingods are a four-piece, multi-instrumental band from Bahrain & London founded in 2010 by Kamal Rasool and now consisting of Rasool, Sam Rowe, Charles Prestand Karthik Poduval. The group explores and experiments with an array of influences from Western psychedelia, jazz and indie to a wide-eyed obsession with music from the East. Using a vast selection of instruments from the Middle East and Asia, the band marries this with Western instrumentations of synthesisers, guitars and drums to create a potent sound all of its own that they call ‘Exotic Psychedelia’. They have previously released music on an array of reputable indies including Moshi Moshi, Soundway, Art is Hard and Shape and are currently working on their fourth studio record.
