14:45 - AMYA-RAY
Hello! My name is Amya-Ray, 22, I am a singer/songwriter from a small town called Crowthorne. My music is a mix between folk, RNB, indie and pop and my influences are the likes of Warpaint, James Blake, Amy Whinehouse, and Sammy Davis Jr. I don’t feel like I have found my niche just yet, however, in my personal opinion I am free to experiment and grow as an artist pushing the boundaries!
I have just released my debut EP ‘Stella’ on Itunes and GooglePlay. For the last three months I have lived in Amsterdam doing several gigs, writing new material and promoting my EP. Now I’m back in the UK, I am working on my new music video, recording in the studio and moving to Brighton to do gigs.
I’ve always felt passionate about music; my mother said to me that I was singing from the age of two. I discovered I could write music at the age of 11, taught myself guitar six years ago and have been gigging for the last 5 years! My highlight so far has been performing along side with Wretch 32, meeting Ed Sheeran and Nina Nesbitt.
15:30 - JAZZ MORLEY
Jazz has amassed a loyal fan base throughout the UK including early media and industry support from time spent touring her own music and supporting the likes of Gabrielle Aplin, Kwabs, and Rae Morris along the way.
Musically Jazz has been compared to the likes of London Grammar and Jessie Ware, with her soulful vocals accompanied by her piano and soft electronic production.
She's played the Isle of Wight and Great Escape festivals plus received support from BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and more. A talent worth exploring!
16:30 - KHAMSINA
Khamsina, hailing from Oxfordshire and Reading are currently a three piece band, consisting of Stevie - the writer, composer, pianist and brains behind the band’s theatre/jazz cross over style - Swing on Bass and Hoppy on Drums. The style of Khamsina’s music cannot be subjected to one genre alone. Their music takes you on a journey of sound, which is renowned for being fresh and organic. With Stevie taking much inspiration from all parts of her life and translating them into her theatrical and bold style, they keep the listener gripped with almost storytelling enchantment.
17:30 - THE SEASONS IN SHORTHAND
18:30 - BEAU DAME
Beau Dame are two.
19:30 - EVERHAZEL
Subtly hinting to an upbringing of classic pop (think Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles) crossed with 90s chart music (The Cardigans, Sheryl Crow), Hazel writes and performs with a fierce, heart-stirring honesty.
'Small, Brave' is available to buy/stream via Bandcamp as well as all other leading digital outlets.
20:30 - STUPIDCHIEF
Noise. Loud noise. stupidchief are a 3-piece committed to hurting your ears in the best way possible. Alternative indie with a fat bassy punch in the face. Come get deaf.
21:30 - THE MIDNIGHT RAMBLER
BT Digital Music Award for Shockwave, debut album 'Tales From the Nightshift" mixed by the amazing Bobby Bloomfield (DIOYY, 50 Cent, Linkin Park). A rocking mish mash of Smashing Pumpkins, Primus, and delta blues delivered with the humour of the Muppet Show.
22:30 - SAM HANDY
Sam Handy and his band's performances are full of energy for a trio; highly inspired by that of the classic acts such as Sam & Dave, Wilson Pickett and Jimi Hendrix. Keeping the emotion and soul of what they play alive with that essence of rock and roll.
23:30 - LITTLE MAMMOTHS (ex Noah & The Whale)
Little Mammoths are a proper rock 'n' roll band for the modern age. Raw and raucous, they peddle their own brew of intoxicated fun.
Formed by Noah and the Whale bass player Matt Owens, the 6-piece have become renowned for their 4 hour sets in bars, venues and festivals throughout the UK and Ireland.
This year, their upcoming debut album "Phantom Dreams" has been road-tested to ecstatic crowds alongside Mumford & Sons, Fat White Family and Bahamas. They've packed out Bush Hall and The Borderline in the last 12 months and are set to headline Cargo this February. They've also brought distortion to Wilderness Festival, The Mumford and Sons Aviemore Stopover, Doolin Folk Festival and Clonakilty Guitar Festival in Ireland amongst others.
