La Trappistine grew out of a mutual love for great songwriting and musicianship. Starting out playing their unique revamped style of Rhythm and Blues, La Trappistine have spent the first year of their career honing their craft, creating an energetic live set which draws influence from Jazz, Funk, Soul, Psych and anything they can get their ears on. A performance full of depth and feeling that is surely not to be missed.
Last summer they worked with producer Graham Dominy (The Rakes, Robert Plant) and recorded their double A-Sided single Behind the Trees/Weather Song. 2016 is looking to be a exciting year for the quartet, continuing to write, record and reinvent their own distinct concoction of sounds.
