19:00 - The Patient Wild
We're a five piece folk rock band from Reading and have been together since late 2011. We've played in venues all over Reading, including gigs for previous local festivals like the Oxjam Reading Takeover and Jon Hubbard's HubFest which took place at Facebar last year. Our new song, Old Worlds, has just been selected for this weekend's BBC Introducing show on BBC Berkshire.
20:00 - The Night VI
London based sextet The Night VI (Parlophone Records) are influenced by Fleetwood Mac and Laura Marling, and have the power to hold an audience in their hands. The band mix soulful, heartful vocals with harp, guitar, bass and drums. Don't miss them!!
"The songs are a slick mix of melody and melancholy, and Rose-Harper knows the power of romantic intrigue" - NME magazine
"Arguably the sextet's very best yet, stream The Night VI's bitter, twisted and tremendously vindictive latest single, Sienna." - Dots & Dashes
21:00 - Ezra Furman
Chicago based Erza Furman has recently released his critically acclaimed sixth album 'Day of the dog' which received a 5/5 album review in the Guardian, 8/10 NME and three successive BBC 6 Music singles after his sold out February UK tour. Ezra is back in the UK for around 25 dates in April and May and is flying in especially to start the tour at Are You Listening? Festival with his band The Boy-Friends. Ezra's set well be highly anticipated and early arrival is recommended.
"Furman has again proven his status as one of the elite songwriters in the indie world." - CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND
"rock'n'roll at its fuzziest, providing a punky take on powerpop and R&B." - THE GUARDIAN
"Chicago-based singer-songwriter offers a bratty, ragged take on New York Dolls, Spector-era Ramones and E Street Band carnival rock, revealing a gift for crafting freeway-cruisin’ tunes served with an extra helping of roadkill." - NME
