Peerless Pirates hail from middle England – somewhere between The Cotswolds and The M4 corridor should cover it - but nowhere near the coast surprisingly. Their sound is a marriage of energetic, up tempo, guitar driven songs with lyrics inspired by the everyday tinged with splashes of history and naughtiness!
They have been around in their current guise since 2010 and have performed many gigs around Oxford and London to much critical acclaim. Several glowing reviews have followed of both their live performances and their songs. The band has played live radio sessions for both Recharged Radio in London and for BBC Introducing Radio Berkshire, and performed at the legendary Glastonbury festival. Their songs have also featured extensively on BBC Introducing Radio Oxford and various internet radio stations.
In May 2012 the band released their debut EP entitled “Thieves & Miscreants” which also went on to garner much critical acclaim. In December 2012 the band were asked to contribute a song to Oxfordshire Music Rooms’ promotional CD and duly obliged by recording “Those Fashion Stakes” which has been available to friends and fans as a free download ever since.
