Bought it for the Bottle began in 2018 as a result of growing frustration with playing cover songs, and as a cathartic form of expression to deal with failing relationships, the complexities of day to day life, and mental health issues. Friends since school, the band consists of Liam Talbot vocals and bass, Bradley Cox and Jack Dwyer on guitar, and Chris Seaman on kit.
Citing musical influences such as Hunny, Coin, Paramore, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Night Cafe and Clean Cut Kid, the band have played dozens of live shows in the South East since forming. Most notably Bought it for the Bottle supported whenyoung and LUCIA on their recent UK tour, and sold out a headline show at The Facebar in their hometown of Reading last April. They’ve delivered acoustic performances on Boogaloo Radio, Sound Radio Winchester, and Burnham Festival, as well as a live-lounge session for Greenwich University.
BIFTB are currently busy writing, recording and preparing new material for their upcoming live shows.
