With an effortless vocal and a powerful way with words, Tilly Valentine has immersed herself in music and poetry. Born and raised in Oxfordshire, the British artist sings proudly in her home-grown accent. She moved to London aged 16 to attend the prestigious BRIT School, where she occupied the unfamiliar feeling of living independently by writing with producers over SoundCloud.
Valentine’s forthcoming debut single, ‘Coins’, is the perfect example of her soulful voice combined with hints of jazz and tongue-in-cheek lyrics. Better yet, it’s complimented by minimalistic trip hop production that has soothed the ears of many tastemakers. The support from BBC Introducing has not gone unnoticed; from being selected as track of the week to more recently performing at their O2 Academy Oxford show.
Exciting new music in the pipeline for Tilly Valentine has set the tone to make 2018 her best year yet.
