17:00 - ANDRE FU DJ

Andre Fu has been playing records for over 15 years, he's been found variously providing the noises between the bands at The Old Blue Last and The Lock Tavern in London amongst others.

A serial lurker behind the decks at The Oakford Social Club since it opened, he's recently started his new night, Resolution Sounds. He comes to AYL bearing Afro beats, Electronic Bleeps, and Dub Thunder, asking you to dance off the bad vibes and resolve yourself to have only the good times.

DJ-ing in-between bands until close.

17:30 - LEYYA

The sound of Vienna-based experimental / electronic-pop formation LEYYA, creates a foreign but familiar surrounding - spherical, floating but also violent and impulsive. The experimental combination of melancholy and electronic beats, lets two different worlds collide.

The duo has been supported on BBC 6Music, performed at key UK festivals including the Great Escape and been compared to Portishead and SOHN.

CROOKED TEETH are a 3 person synth propelled noise pop from East London. The last 2 years have involved numerous gigs and seen their sound evolve, alternately analogue electronics and distorted guitar driving what could almost be described as pop music. The group have received radio play from Amazing Radio's Jim Gellatly and Artrocker magazine.

They've just emerged from a stretch in the studio - new recordings set for release soon.

19:30 - TWIN SUN

Formed in November 2015, production/DJ duo Twin Sun hail from Reading, UK. Initially producing edits for themselves and friends gaining plays from Rob Da Bank, Horse Meat Disco & Greg Wilson (who included Twin Sun in his Top 10 edits of 2016) , they DJed at various festivals in 2016 including Bugged Out Weekender and at Glastonbury Festival, joining popular club night Fleetmac Wood to play their Fleetwood Mac edits.

Twin Sun have now developed into a full live act, supporting Maribou State & Bondax and playing the main stage at Readipop 2016, incorporating original material with the best of their edits.

First single "Lilac Light" features Jen Stearnes of Saltwater Sun and comes backed with their own 'Sundown' rework of the lead track. Huw Stephens played "Lilac Light" on his Radio 1 show on 28th Nov 2016 and the track has had great support from BBC Introducing Berkshire & Amazing Radio, who playlists the Sundown version this January.

Currently writing and recording their debut album, Twin Sun make their return to the live stage in April 2017 when they play at Are You Listening? Festival.

20:30 - CLOCK OPERA

Comprised of Guy Connelly (vocals, guitar, sampler), Andy West (bass, guitar), Che Albrighton (drums), and Nic Nell (keyboards, vocals,), synth-driven London quartet Clock Opera are unveiling their second album ‘Venn’ via League of Imaginary Nations and K7 on February 10th. A darker beast than their 2012 debut ‘Ways to Forget, the distinctive sound of Clock Opera — the agile alto voices, a sleek and supple rhythm section, immaculate production — is still present, but there's a marked shift in lyrical tone. “A lot of the album is about loss, absence, holes, haunting, questioning identity, explains Connelly. “To be specific, the majority of the songs were inspired by a miscarriage. A lot of the others were driven by the fallout from it.”Although a darkly cerebral and grief-ridden record in theme, ‘Venn’ is as uplifting as it is sinister and ghostly, menacing and euphoric in equal measure. It’s an album named for “the intersection, the shared part, the hole in the middle."

Recorded at home and at Squarehead Studios in Kent with Kristopher Harris (Bear's Den, Smoke Fairies, Matthew & The Atlas, Story Books) over the summer of 2015, ‘Venn' sees Clock Opera entering new and exciting territory.
