17:00 - MATT TANNER

Once described as sounding like David Bowie signing Incubus songs with Mike Patton, singer / songwriter Matt Tanner has one foot firmly kicking up the dust in the 90s, while the other subscribes to a more folk-pop agenda. It was the 1990s that fuelled and inspired Matt as a song writer, but 20 years on and the taste of ballsy pop rock lingers, albeit now with a more mature outlook, like Sara Cox moving to Radio 2. Matt is a seasoned performer, both with bands and as a solo artist. He now continues his dynamic shows playing both acoustic and electric guitars, and mixing his blend of folk, pop and rock. It touches on the ethereal while throwing weighty pop punches.
